Matrox annonce une nouvelle gamme de cartes PCIe multi entrées/sorties 3G-SDI. Destinée exclusivement aux stations Apple Mac Pro et serveurs Apple Xserve, une seule carte PCIe Matrox Multi offre jusqu'à 4 E/S indépendantes avec 16 canaux audio incorporés par flux SDI. Ces cartes sont tout particulièrement destinées aux marchés d'ingest, de play out vidéo, et d'applications graphiques broadcast. De plus elles permettent d'économiser au maximum l'utilisation des connecteurs d'extension des stations mac Pro par exemple. Détail des produits et communiqué complet en anglais de Matrox :

- Carte Matrox Multi-Ingest   (4 entrées 3G/HD/SD)

- Carte Matrox Multi-I/O      (2 entrées et 2 sorties simultanées et indépendantes 3G/HD/SD)

- Carte Matrox Multi-Playback (4 sorties indépendantes 3G/HD/SD).

Les cartes Matrox Multi sont au format PCIe. Elles offrent au choix 4 entrées 3G/HD/SD-SDI ou 2 entrées 3G ou 2 entrées Dual Link, ou deux E / S avec couche d'incrustation. Elles proposent exactement les mêmes possibilités de configuration en sorties. Un traitement matériel 10 bits prend en charge jusqu'à 4 flux HD ou 8 flux SD. Les cartes disposent de 4 canaux audio asymétriques pour l'écoute audio. La détection des formats vidéo en entrée est automatique. Entrée timecode LTC et un port de contrôle de périphérique RS-422.

Matrox Announces World's First Four-Channel 3G SDI Cards for Mac

Montreal, Canada March 29, 2010 — Matrox® Video Products Group today announced the Matrox Multi™ input/output cards which bring a new level of channel density to Mac Pro and Apple Xserve systems. In a single PCIe slot, a Matrox Multi card provides up to four independent inputs or outputs with up to 16 embedded audio channels per SDI stream. User-selectable combinations of 3G, HD, SD, and Dual Link are supported. The Matrox Multi cards are designed to let users get the most from the valuable expansion slots in Apple systems and eliminate the expense of multiple systems in many applications. The innovative features of the Matrox Multi cards make them the ideal choice for capture/playout servers, clip and still stores, character generators, graphics/production servers, and automation/master control units. The Matrox Multi cards are supported by the Matrox Software Development Kit (SDK) for Mac.

. Availability :

Matrox Multi is available in three different versions: Matrox Multi-Ingest – four-channel 3G/HD/SD input card, Matrox Multi-I/O – simultaneous, independent two-channel input and two-channel output 3G/HD/SD card, and Matrox Multi-Playback – four-channel 3G/HD/SD output card. Matrox Multi cards along with the SDK are available to developers now. Shipments to end users will begin in June 2010.
