  A history that spans over 100 years

In 1898 Joseph Debrie founded his company on the rue Saint Maur in Paris.

Created in the 1920's CTM was in the beginning a cinemagraphic laboratory. From its positon as the industry leader, it soon used its experience to design Lab and film editing equipement. This equipement was particularly well adapted to the needs of the film professionals and because of its success became the basis of a new department at CTM.

In 1951, the manufacturing part of the company seperated from the CTM Laboratory, and became a company on its own., specialized in the manufacturing cinema equipement under the name of "Compagnie de Travaux Mécaniques", continuing to be known as CTM.

At that epoch, CTM manufactured cameras and was the first to design an underwater camera developed by M. Girardot, a camera used in the film "The Silent World" of Louis Malle and Jacques Cousteau.

In 1977, Debrie created the TCI "the first

December 1992, CTM takes over Debrie.

January 2010, CTM Debrie becomes Debrie Technologies.
