Avid Airspeed Multi-stream - Nouveauté Version 1.6

Mode Stand alone (ne nécessite plus le système Avid Interplay); Fonctions Up, Down et Cross Convertion en SD & HD; nouveau mode Remote console. Avid Airspeed Multi-stream existe en 4 modèles : SD; Avid DnxHD + SD; Sony XDCAM HD MPEG-2 HD + SD; Panasonic AVC Intra AVC-I + SD. Avid Airspeed Multistream est distribué par CTM Solutions, il peut être aussi disponible en location. Il a été récemment déployé avec succès en location par CTM Solutions avec TF1 sur l'événement de la coupe de monde de Football. Multi Stream version 1.6:

. Standalone (non-Interplay) Configuration: It is now possible to create ingest and playout workflows with AirSpeed Multi Stream that does not require Interplay.

There are two basic configurations:
- AirSpeed Multi Stream, Editor(s) and local storage
- AirSpeed Multi Stream, Editors and shared storage

AirSpeed Multi Stream can now be included in solutions where Interplay capabilities are not required.

Up, Down, and Cross Convert: When playing a clip out an AirSpeed Multi Stream, users no longer need to transcode if a clip does not match the desired output video format. AirSpeed Multi Stream will automatically convert the clips video format in real time during playout. Closed Captions, timecode, and AFD are handled as part of the conversion. Supported conversions are:

- Up Convert: SD to HD (1080i or 720p)
- Down Convert: HD (1080i or 720p) to SD
- Cross Convert HD: 1080i to 720p or 720p to 1080i
- Cross Convert SD: 4:3 to 16:9 or 16:9 to 4:3

Note: There is a limitation on MPEG2/XDCAM systems

Auto Switch Output Format (Autoswitch): Users no longer need to manually reconfigure a channel when they need to play clips of different formats in their native format. When Autoswitch is enabled, a channels output format (SD, 1080i, 720p) will automatically change to match the format of the clip that is cued.

User Access Controls (Remote Console): Access Controls allows administrators to give users access to AirSpeed Multi Stream while reducing the risk of user error interfering with critical functions. Administrators can limit user access to specific servers, to specific channels on a server, or provide view only privileges.
