Communiqué Avid en anglais sur la sortie de la version Avid DS 10.1.1 :

Avid is today pleased to announce the availability of Avid DS v10.1.1, a patch release that installs over DS v10.1. Version 10.1.1 contains added support for the RED Camera .r3d format, colour management enhancements and additional bug fixes. The 120mb patch includes an updated Avid DS driver, a Dual-Link driver upgrade, and an Avid MetaFuze update. This update is required to enable RED Camera .r3d format support in Metafuze. The Avid DS v10.1.1 patch release is available from the Avid Download center and is free to all Avid DS v10.x customers.

Technical Notes :

Please read below for a description of the issues addressed by this release:

• DS 10.1.1 NOT a full build and must be installed on top of Avid DS 10.1.

• Avid DS 10.1.1 includes a DS driver update for the Avid Nitris firmware (required to re-establish dual boot support with Avid Symphony), a Dual-Link driver upgrade, an Avid MetaFuze update required for RED support, Mocha (a trial version for customer evaluation) and the Avid DS 10.1.1 application update installer. Mocha is a third party motion tracker that is compatible with DS workspaces; DS users have found Mocha to be an aid to their workflow, so an evaluation version is provided with this release. Metafuze encodes DNxHD material from generic sources such as .r3d, DPX, and TIFF files, while tracking metadata. This functionality permits offline to online workflows with Avid Media Composer and Avid DS, including project transfer using AFE for Avid Advanced Conform of projects based on these image formats.

• For installation, the files have been compiled into a single ZIP file for easier download. The zip file includes folders for each item and will also include Read Me, Release Notes and Installation instructions. The installer is also found on the Avid DS Support Center. The ZIP file contains the

Release Notes and the Read Me for DS and Metafuze, and both should be consulted prior to
installation.
Note, dual boot systems require Avid DS v10.0 and Avid Symphony 3.0 or 3.0.5, OR Avid DS 10.1.1 and Avid Symphony v3.5. Please see the Avid Download Center for more information on Dual boot capabilities and supported systems.
